Turmeric has been used medicinally for nearly 4000 years in Ayurvedic, Chinese, Japanese, and Egyptian traditional medicines. Modern medicine has recognized its importance over the past 25 years with over 3000 publications discussing its benefits.
In Ayurvedic practice, turmeric is used to strengthen the overall energy of the body, relieve gas, improve digestion of fats and relieve digestive disorders, and regulate menstruation.
It is used all over the world as an anti-inflammatory. In modern medicine, it has been proven to be helpful in inhibiting depression as well as joint inflammation and several other health issues.
Use this spice blend to make the following:
Soothing Creamy Turmeric Tea
1 c unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp honey
1 tsp Turmeric Tea Spice Blend (see recipe below)
Instructions: Heat milk to warm & whisk in honey and spice blend.
Spicy Turmeric, Sweet Potato & Vanilla Smoothie

- 4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp cardamom
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
