Sundaes for Breakfast

Sundaes for breakfast?! YES please!

I threw this together the other morning and it was a total hit in our house! Fast. Easy. Delicious. Healthy. Customizable for pickies (but no extra work for me!!! bonus!) Extra bonus since it’s been almost 3 weeks since we moved into our new place, and I’m still working on unpacking, organizing, and all that good stuff…which is why I’m going to share this awesomeness in a short & to-the-point post. I’m not trying to be rude, I promise!


So here’s what you need:
~ Nonfat plain Greek yogurt
~ honey or 100% pure maple syrup (drizzle)
~ fresh fruit (mango, kiwi, strawberries pictured – use any 2-4 of your family’s favorites)
~ chopped pecans
~ sliced almonds
~ chia seeds & flax seeds
(aka ‘nature’s sprinkles’ )

Directions:
Serve one bowl of yogurt per person.
Drizzle with honey or syrup.
Cut up fruit.
Set out toppings like a ‘sundae bar’
Have fun creating your unique & delicious (AND nutritious!) breakfast!

P.S. Did I tell you I finally caved and started following the 21-Day Fix nutrition plan? I still eat all my favorite foods, but now they are in the right portions & combinations for optimum health & energy (and warding off those extra pounds – you know how easy it can be to overeat healthy foods, right?! And just because they’re healthy doesn’t mean they don’t have calories which WILL plant themselves right on your thighs, hips, and belly – trust me, I learned that the hard way!)
